Me - a Work In Progress

Who am I? I am a work in progress. The me that you see is merely a reflection of what I have accomplished to date (but I have so much more work to do!)

Life is about choices and each choice has a consequence. The laws of the universe are as real and as obvious as gravity. In each of us lives a kaleidoscope of propensity - an infinite mixture of seeds that we can sow. The cultivation of those seeds is up to each of us.

Mermaid of the Sea

My true love is a Mermaid,

who swims through life care free.

Her beauty is overwhelming,

and her love is just for me.

Each sunrise begins a new adventure,

each night she's loving me passionately.

My heart belongs to a Mermaid,

and she holds it in her hands ever so gently.

The depth of my love for her is endless,

my beautiful Mermaid of the Sea.

Gently Falling

Subconscious thoughts, like a leaf gently falling

toward an earth I had never engaged.

Except vicariously through the sipping of roots,

up the tree’s trunk and branches splayed.

Descending gracefully and looking all about me

As I drift aimless on the whims of a breeze

I wonder how this all came together,

wondering why it all seems to agree

Keeping time to the beat of my heart, the ground grows ever larger

While the branches above me simultaneously fade in size

My thoughts, like a leaf gently falling

What a wonderful kind of surprise!

What was I thinking?

I let the new year slip by without making an official Happy New Year post. That is sooooo not like me.

Here is my inspirational quote for the new year "even while some things can't be undone, you can ALWAYS start anew."

Although, I am not one for making formal New Year's resolutions - life provides ample opportunity for ongoing personal growth - if you let it. I resolve to put my best effort forward every day, try to learn from my mistakes, think before I act, and look to gain understanding through perspectives other then my own.
