Thoughts banging around in my mind
like loose shutters in a windstorm.
Desperately turning over questions
in search of their answers.
Why do I continue to fight when I know it to be futility?
Why do I deny that the answers are all right before my eyes?
The voice of reason comes to me,
softly at first, as if it were a whisper,
increasing in volume like approaching thunder
until it can no longer be ignored
..."SURRENDER!!!!!!"
Surrender to truth, surrender to patience, surrender to everything that is good and beautiful, and most of all, surrender to love.
Unconditional love is the only 'real' love that exists. A love that is so enticing yet paradoxically elusive to us in our mortal condition. It is the love that our souls instinctively thirst for - the slightest drop of which a soul longs to drink.
